Adani mulls surrendering 5G spectrum after more than 2 years of purchase

Adani Data Networks, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, is reportedly considering surrendering its 5G spectrum after two years of not utilizing it. While Adani Data Networks has not formally communicated its intent, it has not disclosed plans to use the airwaves either. The company purchased the 26 GHz band spectrum in the 2022 auctions and stated that it would be used for its private network. Adani Data Networks is currently incurring penalties for not meeting its minimum rollout obligations. Adani group had clarified that the airwaves were for developing private 5G networks for its ports, airports, and other businesses.
