Air India-Vistara merger completed: Tata-group airline becomes India’s largest international carrier; here’s how | Company Business News

Air India has completed its merger with Vistara, creating an integrated airline that will connect over 90 destinations and fly 120,000 passengers daily. The merger, which was announced in November 2022, follows the integration of Air India Express and AIX Connect. Singapore Airlines, which partly owns Vistara, will invest an additional ₹3,194.5 crore in the enlarged entity. The new airline will operate over 5,600 weekly flights with a fleet of 210 aircraft, making it India's largest international carrier and second-largest domestic carrier. The merger marks a significant consolidation in the Indian aviation industry.
