Akasa Air fined ₹10 lakh by DGCA | Company Business News

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a fine of ₹10 lakh on Akasa Air for refusing boarding to seven passengers on a flight from Bengaluru to Pune. The airline failed to comply with regulatory provisions and did not provide compensation to the affected passengers. This comes after the DGCA served two showcause notices to Akasa Air for poor maintenance standards and not revising the operations manual. The airline has been facing issues with its pilots, with some accusing the airline of malpractice and safety concerns.
