Amazon loses court fight to suspend EU tech rules' ad clause

Amazon has lost its bid to suspend a requirement under EU tech rules pertaining to its online advertising. The European Union's top court, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), rejected Amazon's challenge and dismissed its application for an interim measure. The requirement, part of the Digital Services Act (DSA), necessitates Amazon to provide detailed information on its online advertising, which the company argued infringes on its fundamental rights. However, the judge stated that the interests defended by the EU legislature outweigh Amazon's material interests and that a suspension could hinder the objectives of the DSA.
