Ambition to grow AI, startup innovations as important as AI safety: MoS IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized that artificial intelligence (AI) safety is as vital as fostering AI innovation and a startup ecosystem in India. He stated this at the AI Safety Summit 2023 in the UK. He believes that India should focus on both AI safety and the growth of AI and startups, as it's not a binary choice. Chandrasekhar highlighted the need for global cooperation in building AI safety standards and methodologies and mentioned that these discussions would take place at the Global Partnership of Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) 2023 in India.
