Apple to let iPhone users in Europe delete its App Store

Apple will allow users in the European Union to delete the App Store and Safari browser from their iPhones and iPads, as part of the company's compliance with the bloc's new digital rules. The tech giant will make the App Store, Messages, Camera, Photos, and Safari apps deletable, except for Settings and Phone. Apple will also introduce a feature for users to manage default settings for browsers, messaging, and phone calls. Additionally, Apple will only authorize alternative browser engines from developers who meet specific privacy and security requirements. Apple is making these changes to comply with the Digital Markets Act and address concerns from the European Commission.
