Equinix hires Google Cloud executive Adaire Fox-Martin as CEO

Equinix, a data center operator, has announced the appointment of Adaire Fox-Martin, an executive from Google Cloud, as its new CEO. Fox-Martin, who has been on the Equinix board since 2020, will take over from current CEO Charles Meyers in the next quarter. Meyers will transition to the role of executive chair, while Peter Van Camp will step down as a board member to become a special advisor. Equinix has forecasted strong earnings due to increased investment in data centers and artificial intelligence technology.
