EU regulators assess Apple's plan for complying with music streaming order

The European Union's antitrust regulators are examining whether Apple's proposal to allow Spotify and other music streaming services to inform users about alternative payment options outside of its App Store meets their requirements. Apple could face antitrust charges and additional fines if its proposal does not satisfy the European Commission, which recently issued a 1.84 billion euro ($2 billion) fine along with the order. The proposal allows services like Spotify to include links to their websites for purchasing digital goods or services, but these links carry a 27% fee to Apple. Spotify has expressed frustration at Apple's delay in complying with the EU order.
