Indian hair care brand Arata has secured $4m in a series A funding round led by Unilever Ventures, with participation from L'Oréal's corporate venture capital fund, Bold. The investment brings Arata's post-money valuation to INR 195 crore ($26m). The company plans to use the funding to expand its research and development efforts in hair and scalp solutions, strengthen its content and marketing strategies, and focus on talent acquisition. Arata, founded in 2018, offers hair growth, care, dandruff treatment, styling, and maintenance solutions for various hair types.
