India teams power our global AI ambitions, says IBM Research AI head

IBM's India research teams are playing a vital role in developing the company's Watsonx Code Assistant, focusing on AI-driven code modernization. The teams are also leading the development of Watsonx Orchestrate and Watsonx.data. IBM has installed Watsonx on the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing's GPU infrastructure. The company is collaborating with L&T Semiconductor Technologies to foster innovation in semiconductor solutions. IBM is adopting three key AI elements: the Granite series, the InstructLab open-source project, and the Watsonx platform. The company is advocating for an open approach to AI models and has launched the AI Alliance. Several Indian companies have joined the movement.
