Kogta Financial raises $148 million from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Indian non-banking financial company Kogta Financial has secured $148m in a series E funding round led by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. Kogta will use the investment to expand its product offerings and regional presence, as well as enabling it to offer partial exits to existing investors Morgan Stanley and Creador. The company, which specialises in secured vehicle and MSME financing, operates across 10 states in India with over 225 branches and 5,000 employees.
