OpenAI's newly launched GPT Store is experiencing moderation problems as it is being flooded with AI girlfriend bots, despite explicit rules against them. The marketplace, announced two months ago, allows users to post custom-made "GPTs" built with OpenAI's technology. However, searching for "girlfriend" on the platform brings up at least eight romantic AI chatbots, such as "Korean Girlfriend" and "Virtual Sweetheart." OpenAI's usage policy explicitly prohibits GPTs dedicated to romantic companionship, but these policies seem to be failing to prevent their presence on the platform.
