Roku says 576,000 user accounts hacked after second security incident

Roku has confirmed a second security incident in which over 576,000 user accounts were compromised. Hackers used a technique called credential stuffing, using usernames and passwords stolen from other breaches. In less than 400 account breaches, fraudulent purchases were made using payment data stored in the affected users' accounts. However, sensitive user information or full credit card details were not accessed. Roku has since implemented two-factor authentication to enhance security and prevent future credential stuffing attacks.
