Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw meets Meta's chief AI scientist to discuss opportunities in artificial intelligence

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw met with Yann LeCun, chief AI scientist of Meta, to discuss opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI) in India. The meeting aimed to advance collaborations among industry, government, and academia. They discussed the establishment of the Center for Generative AI, Srijan, at IIT Jodhpur, as well as the YuvAi Initiative for Skilling and Capacity Building in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The initiatives aim to develop Indigenous AI applications, enhance AI skills, and contribute to India's AI mission. The partnership will also provide education, training, and policy advisory to foster responsible AI development and deployment.
