Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has strongly objected to Google's removal of certain apps from the Play Store. The government will not permit app delisting and has called for a meeting with Google. The tech giant has warned about removing apps that do not comply with its Play Store billing regulations, which require developers to use Google's payment services and pay a 30% commission for in-app transactions. The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has also urged Google to refrain from delisting apps while a Supreme Court case on the matter is pending. Google argues that it is enforcing its policies consistently.
