Google, Yahoo are cracking down on inbox spam. Don’t expect less email marketing.

Google and Yahoo have introduced new requirements for bulk email senders to combat indiscriminate email marketing. These rules aim to make emails from legitimate senders stand out among unsolicited junk mail and phishing scams. Bulk email senders now must authenticate their email addresses, include unsubscribe options, and maintain a low spam complaint rate. Failure to comply may result in emails being delivered to spam folders. The changes are expected to encourage marketers to prioritize the quality and relevance of their emails.
