Indian carrier Akasa flying less after some pilots quit abruptly - memo

Indian budget carrier Akasa Air is reducing its flying operations and sacrificing market share temporarily to ensure a reliable operation after several pilots quit the airline unexpectedly. The pilots' abrupt departure caused disruptions in flights between July and September, resulting in last-minute cancellations. Akasa's market share dropped to 4.2% in August from 5.2% the previous month. The company plans to take legal action against the pilots who left without serving their contractual notice period. Akasa has received regulatory approval to fly to international destinations and will commence operations by the end of the year.
