Ola drawing up a route map to join quick commerce party

As Ola Electric gears up for its upcoming public listing, Ola Cabs founder Bhavish Aggarwal is focusing on expanding the company's presence in the quick commerce sector. Ola plans to establish its own dark stores, small neighborhood warehouses stocked with products for rapid deliveries. These dark stores will be operated by Ola and will utilize automation, including the deployment of robots. Ola also intends to launch its own Unified Payments Interface (UPI) offering for consumers. The company is expected to announce these initiatives at its annual Independence Day event on August 15.
