Open Cloud Compute looks to onboard 3 providers for October pilot

Infosys non-executive chairman Nandan Nilekani's Open Cloud Compute (OCC) network plans to have at least three compute providers onboarded for a pilot by October. OCC is an open interface for computing infrastructure providers and customers, and aims to create a network of interoperable micro data centres in India. The network intends to bring compute power closer to users, enabling faster processing and strengthening data sovereignty. The technical work on OCC is in progress, and a note on green and AI-powered micro data centres will be released in September.
