Amazon India set to tweak seller fees ahead of festive season

Amazon India is reducing its seller fees for several product categories in preparation for the festive season. The reductions, ranging from 3-12%, are mainly focused on products with low average selling prices. The goal is to make it more affordable for sellers to sell products on Amazon compared to offline channels. Some categories, such as apparel and home furnishings, will see a decrease in seller commissions, while others, like backpacks and studded fine jewelry, will see an increase. Amazon hopes these changes will attract more sellers and drive growth in both tier 2, 3 towns and metropolitan areas.
